Who is eligible for a free NHS blood pressure check at the pharmacy?
If you’re aged 40 or over, you can get a free blood pressure check at Fusion pharmacy — even if you feel fine. Some younger adults may also be eligible if referred by a GP or healthcare professional.
Do I need to book an appointment?
We accept walk-ins, but booking ahead is recommended to avoid waiting. You can call us or use our online form to book a convenient time.
What happens during the blood pressure check?
Our pharmacist will take a quick reading using a digital blood pressure monitor. The process is painless and takes just a few minutes.
What happens if my blood pressure is high?
If your reading is high, we may offer a second test using a 24-hour monitor (worn at home). With your consent, we’ll share the results with your GP for follow-up.
How long does the appointment take?
The initial blood pressure check usually takes around 10–15 minutes. If a 24-hour monitor is needed, a short fitting appointment will be arranged.
How much does the bllod pressure test cost?
This service is completely free of charge as part of the NHS plan to detect and prevent high blood pressure early.
Why should I check my blood pressure if I feel healthy?
