- Children under 5 should be seen by their GP or NHS 111
- Some exclusions apply (e.g. severe symptoms, existing health conditions, pregnancy)
- The pharmacist will confirm eligibility during your consultation

Is there a charge for this service?
No. Pharmacy First for sinusitis is funded by the NHS. You only pay your usual prescription charge if medicine is supplied and you're not exempt.
Do I need an appointment?
No. You can walk in and ask to be seen. If you prefer, you can also book your consultation online 24/7.
Will I definitely get antibiotics?
Not always. Many cases of sinusitis improve without them. Antibiotics are only provided if clinically appropriate.
Who can use the service?
Adults and children aged 12 and above. Under-12s should be referred to their GP or NHS 111.
What if it isn't sinusitis?
Our pharmacist will carry out a full assessment. If another cause is suspected, you'll be referred to the right service — whether that's your GP, urgent care, or A&E.
